The Green Man is ideally situated in Wimborne, Dorset, perfect for visitors to the South coast, as well as locals and residents.
Situated just under a mile from the A31, visitors can take advantage of our great location and join us for lunch and evening meals before continuing on their way along the coast.
Alternatively, why not spend some time in the area as there is plenty to do! Here are just a few activities in and around Wimborne. 

Wimborne Minster
The impressive 12th church that gives the town its name. Wimborne Minster houses the second largest chained library in the country and very interesting architecture.

Priest House Museum
The museum houses costumes and historical material to tell the story of East Dorset. It exhibits a working Victorian kitchen and has 10 galleries to explore.

Wimborne Model Town
Situated a stone’s throw from the Green Man, the model town was built over 50 years’ ago, at 1/10th scale of the town of that era.

Kingston Lacy
A National Trust property, Kingston Lacey is located approximately 2.5 miles from the Green Man. Enjoy the house and gardens before joining us for refreshments both hot and cold. From Kingston Lacy, turn right onto the B3082 and follow the road, straight through two sets of traffic lights. You will pass Wimborne hospital on your right and a park on the left, just after the park you will see the Green Man on your right, with free parking. 

Badbury Rings
For those who enjoy a good walk and fresh air, Badbury Rings is perfect to blow the cobwebs away. Approximately 3 miles from the Green Man, scale the rings (with or without your four legged friends), then join us to catch your breath. From the rings, turn left onto the B3082 and follow the road all the way along the avenue of trees, passing Kingston Lacy on your right. follow the road, straight through two sets of traffic lights. You will pass Wimborne hospital on your right and a park on the left, just after the park you will see the Green Man on your right, with free parking.

Local Sports Clubs

We were proud sponsors Kingston Lacy Cricket Club. They have played cricket since 1850 at , Pamphill Green, near Wimborne.  Kingston Lacy CC have one team the Saturday XI, the Saturday XI play in the Dorset Funeral Plan Cricket League Division 3. They play on the Village Green at Pamphill approximately one mile north of Wimborne. The Green itself forms part of the Kingston Lacy and Corfe Castle Estate which was the largest land parcel to be given to the National Trust.
